The weather has now been unutterably vile for longer than anybody deserves. Tulum seems a lifetime away. Sometimes one wonders why one puts up with such a ludicrously crappy climate - beyond a joke by now, surely? Last Easter I was eating roast lamb in my uncle's garden, FFS.

Right then, having got that off my chest, and finished (ish) Treachery, here is beautiful, sunny, fun-loving Mexico.

Straight off the plane. Tired (knackered - hence the squiffy eyes) but as you can see - pretty bloody happy to have found ourselves in such idyllic surroundings.

Hibiscus Martinis. Just as yummy as they look. We drank several.

Had to tie my bikini to the deck to stop it blowing away.

Best hangover bed ever. Just pushing a foot against one of its struts would make one sway, gently - easing the hideous memories of what one might have said or done the previous night.

It really looked like this. Nature's colours are the best.

Dear Andy looking v 'our man in Havana.'

Couldn't believe how much it looked like a painting (which seems a tad ironic!).
It was exquisitely beautiful, loads of fun, just about the perfect level of mad (did I mention the Jedi Knight bearing intoxicants?), and somewhere Andy and I want to revisit - again and again and again...

Oh - and all the people working there are HOT beyond belief!
